Advantages of Kawasaki ZX6 / 636 as a stunt bike
Has a very strong engine and
low internal gearing giving it lots of power. Especially the 636
Stock Forks are 50mm Inverted, with radial brakes.
Strong Subframe.
Good Looking design, very race inspired.
Lots of stunt bike parts available
Large tank for a nice dent.
ZX6 / 636 have a decently reliable engine. |
Disadvantages of Kawasaki ZX6 / 636 as a stunt bike
Frames are not very strong, and
tend to crack at the motor mounts.
Upper Fairing Mounts are plastic and break easily.
Headlight mounts break easy.
Harder to find, Kawasaki ZX6 / 636 made from 2003-2004.
Harder to find parts for, Road Racers used these bikes for a long
time.
Stock front forks are know to break

Relocate Idle Adjuster: When Stunting You want your idle up
around 3000RPM and easy to adjust up and down for different Tricks

Dirtbike bars: also an option to your controls is mounting

Tricks to Setting Up Kawasaki ZX6 /
636: |
-Convert
the Front End to 05+ or newer ZX6 or zx10 forks
or 06-08 Yamaha R6 forks /wheel and Brakes will fit in zx6 triples.
-Spacer on the Rear Shock to Raise rear seat height
-Denting Tank , Otown or Full Dent
-Relocating Your Key under subframe so you dont break it off.
-Toggle Switch for the Fan
-Extra Fan
-Cut a Hole in the Rear Seat if you have a Round Bar
-Rotate the engine kill button so your leg doesnt hit it and kill the
bike, some people pin it but when you relocate the key and for some
reason you lose control of the bike someone else wont be able to to
turn the bike off.
-Use two large Black AC Zipties to hold the radiator up tight,
eventually the top tabs will rip off.
- Clean Air Mod to keep oil from going into the airbox
-Cut 3/8s out of the subframe raise the hight of subframe
-Cut stock exhaust down
-Flip and Invert Clip ons for a better arm position.
-Replace singarm with 05-06 for better styling
